McCain Tries to Define Obama as Out of Touch

Here come the "Swift Boat" attacks again! Apparently the republican philosophy is "If you can't win on merit, try character assassination”. John McCain is trying to portray Barrack Obama as a trifling bit of fluff that craves celebrity at all cost. He has used images of Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears as examples of people he thinks Obama is like. This need not be defended because if anybody in the United States could, after the last year imagine that this is anything other than a desperate attempt by a desperate candidate they clearly have not been paying attention. If you buy into this most recent Republican smear than you deserve 4 more years of “Bush league” leadership. Any way that what I think!

Talking about Oil execs defend huge profits before Senate - Oil & energy- msnbc.com

The oil companies profit has grown nearly 400% in the last four years but they (the oil companies) claim that it's not their fault! Of course the person claiming that makes 12 million dollars a year so his view may be influenced by all that money. It's about time our government stepped in and protected us. Gas is not a luxury item where the "Law of supply and demand” can be allowed to play out at the corporate direction, gas is a necessity to get to work, the kids to school even to buy food so why has it taken our government so long to even start asking questions? Maybe it has to do with our current President's post White House employment plans?

Talking about Democrats' fears of long fight rise - The New York Times- msnbc.com

If the Superdelegates overturn the will of the people when picking the next Democratic presidential candidate I will vote Republican! The people choose, not a small group of people, but all the people! I support Obama for President but should the popular vote give the candidacy to Clinton so be it.  As long as the people and not the Democratic Party decide.

Talking about Justice Dept.: Waterboarding no longer legal - Security- msnbc.com

Well its about time! Although I think all American citizens if not all goverment officals already know that. You can't condone torture and still pretend to be one of the good guys.

Talking about More power for executive: Will it last? - The New York Times- msnbc.com

It is my fervent hope that the next president of the United States will in fact, return the offices of the president and vice president to their “proper” place in the government of our country and work to pass definitive laws that will keep future, “would be dictators” from ignoring the laws of the land they were elected to govern. Please, who ever is elected President, remember that a signing statement may not be used to exempt the executive branch from obeying that law, and no amount of security need preempts the need for judicial and legislative oversight. The Executive branch is only one of three equal branches of our government. A fact that our current president and vice president apparently are either unaware of or choose to ignore.
